Outside of my work at Duke University, I maintain an avid interest in information visualization and sports, especially professional basketball. For a time, I maintained a blog at the intersection of the two, but am now working as a statistical consultant for the Boston Celtics.

Prior to my work with the Celtics, I produced a series of graphics for ESPN Magazine Online, and have created several visualizations for Miller-McCune Magazine. I’ve also put together a Timeline of the Modern Two-Party System in the Senate, which attempts to present a large swath of the history of partisanship and polarization in the US Congress.

I am also a casual photographer, and a subset of my photos can be seen at Picasa.
